Revision to Emergency Management applicability for select hospices
Effective Aug. 27, The Joint Commission updated Emergency Management (EM) Standard EM.12.02.05, Element of Performance (EP) 4, to apply to hospices that provide care in a patient residence. Previously, the EP applied only to home health agencies.
